Investment Information

UnEarthed accepts reimbursement for services by Credit card, Cash, Check, HSA and the following insurances:

Aetna

Oscar Health

United Healthcare

Optum

Cigna

Services provided by Masters level Practicum or Internship Students are donation-based to support those with limited financial resources. No application or paperwork necessary.

UnEarthed uses Headway and Thrizer to assist in filing with insurance providers.

For all other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered withThrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This typically allows clients to save on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our consult process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.

‍**If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan, you will have to pay my full fee and will receive a paper check reimbursement in a few weeks.

Private pay options are available for those who prefer not to use insurance. Rates vary for services provided—contact UnEarthed for more information on session investment costs.

As of January 1, 2022, Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, if you’re uninsured or you pay for health care bills yourself (don’t have your claims submitted to your health plan), we will provide you with an estimate of expected charges before you receive services. This is called a “good faith estimate.” UnEarthed will provide a good-faith estimate if you request one or after you’ve scheduled services. It will include expected charges for the primary service you’re receiving and any other items or services provided as part of the same planned experience. Learn more about the No Surprise Act here.

We know life sometimes happens when illness strikes or you double-book yourself on accident. Please be mindful of your session time, as it is a space reserved just for you.

We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Please reach out to your therapist directly with any scheduling concerns. We will do our best to reschedule your session time if another slot is available within the same week.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled session or are a no-show, you will be billed the full session fee for the missed appointment. This charge is not eligible for insurance reimbursement.

Let us know a couple of days before your appointment if you start to feel sick or have a conflict, as it is a lot easier for us to provide space for another client when we have advanced notice. Please call (817) 648-6247 to cancel/reschedule 24 hours before your appointment.
